Abilene Texas Meetup - March 24

I haven't heard about a Houston meetup in over 2 months. There used to be on that posted up on Rainbow Dash Network, but that group has been silent since January. I have posted a link to this group, but since that post, no one's even looked into it as far as I know.

Please tell me this is still happening.

The link in the OP to Equestria Daily has a facebook link for the meetup information. I can't view it because I dont have an account, the facebook link should tell you all you need to know.

I went up there to the park today, and there was no meetup there and the Facebook page link did not work. Very Disappointing...

such is the life of the Texas Brony Group.

I tried so hard for so long to get a meet up going on the facebook, but ultimately gave up because everypony was so fickle.

Yeah I wasn't holding my breath but I had to go to check but oh well. And we do have Bronies here in town, there are about 10 of use bronies that have an Anime Club here in Abilene and Membership is open to everypony as long as your over the age of 18. We are the Abilene Anime Club (A-Mittsu) We meet Wednesdays and Friday 8pm to 11pm at McMurry University in Cooke Building Room 110 Here is the google map Link

We are also planning a Group Trip to A-Kon this year as well.

I could attend A-Kon this year, I just need to stop buying custom ponies for awhile to save up.

I'll have to check what my vacation days for the year will be. I'll start planning for it, I hope the host hotel isnt sold out yet.

yeah the host hotel if full but the others should be open hopefully

Last A-kon I was at was 2007, I took my brother Mike along. We stayed in hotel about 10 minutes away from the convention

2nd day we were there, we left the hotel to go get dinner, we come back 15 minutes later, there were 3 police cars in the parking lot arresting 2 people who were breaking into cars while we were out. I've been picky about hotel locations since. It was a kinda nice hotel along the highway thats a straight shot from the Adams Mark.

I know the convention has switched to a bigger space since then. I wonder if the new location is close to the adams mark...

Try the marriot, that is where me and my friends stayed last year.
its right across the street and is connected to the hilton/akon by a giant above street tunnel/bridge.
