Vidjo Gaems General

Making this thread now cause it'll be made eventually. A place to trade gamertags, etc and discuss vidya games, as well as plug pony-related mods to games such as Skyrim.

This may need to become its own section entirely at some point, especially when Fighting is Magic comes out. I like the idea of having a thread here for now though. So, what system(s) do you have? I got's mahself a Wii and a DSi. And I guess my computer, but it doesn't run games very well.

I used to play pokemon competitively but can't really find the time anymore.

I wanted to play Pokemon competitively, but I never figured out how, and I was either too impatient to train them properly, or I didn't like the ones that were considered best at the time.

I think they should make a pokemon game where you can explore all 5 regions. It probably wouldn't be on the DS or 3DS though.

I guess I've been lucky that my personal favorite continued to be on the top of comp. play. Skarmory for those who were wondering.

right, okay. But if done correctly, a console Pokemon game would be amazing

i should have filmed my friend playing pokemon snap. It takes effort to be that bad, im sure of it.
but it is a fun game to play at parties and such.

Last Pokemon game I played was Snow white? Or what was it.. Souldiamond? Anyways I rather enjoyed playing that version of the game.

I've yet to complete a single Zelda game. I've started ocarina, majoras, the game boy one, and twilight princess.
I'm going to force myself to finish majoras. But I get so annoyed with the rules of 3 that Zelda uses to the extreme. It is what made me rage quit twilight princess.

My brother & roomate just got a kinex system and they were going over some demos

One in particular struck my interest - Rise of Nightmares

A survival horror game that feels like House of the Dead. The game utitlizes full range of motion - put foot forward or back to go that direction, turn your body left or right to turn, and fighting system is the same way - move your hands and arms for punching, grabbing items, etc. Movement system seems a bit slow and clumsy still and game is a bit slow paced, until zombies show up, but still looks like a good game. Demo has quite a bit of blood & gore, torture scenes.

I'm a bit suprised there actually something other than sports games for kinex. Im certain they can polish the movement system in time.
