Um, that kinda WAS a Daring Do episode.

right, but ,like, an entire episode with no mention of equestria or the mane 6, just 22 straight minutes of Daring Do
Re: episode discussion for Read it & Weep
The first episode to NOT have any of the Mane six? Not likely. It'd be nice, but I don't think enough of the fandom would appreciate it for it to really work well.

several cartoons have had single episodes based solely around characters that are considered "fictional" in their own universes. If the character becomes popular enough, then an entire daring do episode wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

I guess it's possible, but not for at LEAST one or two seasons.

Loved this episode! Reading Rainbow, new mythical creature, & Indiana Jones all rolled into 1!
With this episode...I shall assimilate my brother. He loves Indiana Jones!
Confound these awesome ponies, they drive me to brokeness! So many ponies missing from my shelf.
But I digress, the animator team seems to have pegged the brony community in a nutshell in this one.
1) Person (Me) hears about show
2) "That's for kids"
3) Watches show & likes it
4) O_O I'm a Brony!
Best part of all, this episode was originally titled 'Reading Rainbow' during developement - http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/02/read-it-and-weep-was-originally-reading.html

Am I the only one that made connections to James Bond in this episode?

Been thinking about this since Friday. With Scootaloo's fascination of Rainbow Dash, I would have expected her to be the one to be at Rainbow's bedside, waiting on her hoof & whim. From a fanon point of view of course. But then Rainbow would have never have gotten a moment of silence to read until the nurses kicked Scootaloo out. ^_^ I think I just came up with a comic idea.
