For people going to A-kon

I'm thinking about making 5-10 bleach shirts using various pony stencils, and it would be a "you find me you get 1 random shirt" kind of thing.
So is anyone going/thinks this is a good idea?

I was planning on posting a picture of my cosplay (which is probably going to be Navi again this year) and give a code phrase, something like "Celestia sets her sun in the East" that you would come up and say to me. and whamm-o! free shirt!

There were a couple people interested on reddit, I think I'll make a few shirts and such and then let the hunt begin!

Currently debating whether to attend Akon at all this year. If I attend Anime Matsuri here in Houston, I wont have enough to attend, but will be able to attend San Japan in San Antonio in August, then Oni Con in October.

If I skip Anime Matsuri, then the plan is A-kon & Oni Con.

i hope we can have a get together at a-kon.

We need to have the most successful meet up of all of them, and the best opportunity is to set a proper one up for A-Kon while it's still possible!

Events, prizes, DJs, snacks, drawings!

We'll get FetchBeer to go to it! I think one of the Brony Show guys wanted to go, too!

Get the attention of the Facebook group, and get them to come together with cool stuff! Have a group set up for DJing, get some folks to bring snacks/drinks, gather up some cool artists to draw for it! If we need money, let's get some of the group members to make plushies for the funds!

A key part of this is hype. It needs to seem like the coolest thing since sliced bread.

I'm still up for a meet up at a kon though.

Starting to look like I may not be able to go to A-kon this year. We just got 2 new jobs that opened up this week in Midland & Odesa. There are currently another 6 job sites all around Houston, spreading us thin already. If I can go, I'll have to book last minute. The past few years when we've had an increase in building sites, no one was allowed vacation time until work slowed down.

I'll let you know if that's the case this time.

Yep, as previously stated, work excess and no vacation is the case. A-kon is in another 2 weeks and I wont make it this year. I'll plan a trip for San Japan in San Antonio for August - work should slow down some by then.

Yeah I don't have the money for it this year as well. Can't even afford a ticket. I'll still be going but only one or two days.
